Position: Office Administrator

Qualifications:Ability to provide pleasing and efficient customer service while maintaining a professional bearing appropriate to the position and Oak Hill Cemetery. Experience working in a professional environment, possibly adeath service organization; medium proficiency with Word, Excel, QuickBooks; basic knowledge of accounting and general office practices such as record keeping, filing, payroll, telephone etiquette, e-mail;  college degree or equivalent experience; 3-5 years experience with a not-for-profit company working with volunteer boards and committees; Spanish is a plus. NOT MORE THAN THREE JOBS IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS!

General Duties: Is the person responsible for the day to day operation of the Oak Hill Cemetery Office; answers the phone, provides information, prepares correspondence; communicates weekly payroll information; provides assistance to the Superintendent; supplies information to persons seeking genealogical research; prepares burial site purchase and burial records; maintains the cemetery records and calendar; assists with newsletter preparation; assists members of the Board of Managers and other volunteers; maintains personnel records; records donations; prepares deposits; enters and prepares checks for accounts payable;              

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 9AM to 4:30PM. One-half hour for lunch break at the middle of the day as coordinated with the Superintendent. Weekends and holidays off – EXCEPTION – very limited need for weekend events 1-4 times per year.

Employment Status: Regular full-time. Expected to work fifty two weeks a year with up to fifteen working days per year off for vacation, sick, personal, or “mental health” time. All absences to be coordinated with the Superintendent. Paid every other week or 26 times per year.

Compensation and Benefits: Base Salary starting in the mid $30s ; nine paid holidays; 15 “combined” days; after 90 dayshort term disability insurance (60% of wages after 14 day disability); end-of-year bonus amount at discretion of the Superintendent.
