Eurovision Song Contest: Sweden's Mans Zelmerlow wins

Swedish artist Mans Zelmerlow has triumphed at the current year's Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, beating Russia's Polina Gagarina. 

Zelmerlow won with his energetic pop track Heroes, which was joined by creative energized visuals. 

Italy were third, trailed by Belgium. Australia completed fifth in the nation's first Eurovision appearance. 

The UK's 1920s-affected swing act Electro Velvet completed 24th out of the 27 members with five focuses. 

A record number of nations tuned in, including Australia - which was welcome to vie for the first run through to check the occasion's 60th commemoration.
